 FAQ

IS READY AIM FIRE FULL TIME?

DO YOU OFFER BURSARIES?

Ready Aim Fire runs Monday - Friday from 8:30am until 12:30pm.
This is structured to allow students the opportunity for part time work, however the course will have homework assignments and group projects.
Students will then need to manage their time diligently to ensure completion of assignments.

DO YOU OFFER ACCOMODATION?

ARE YOU ACCREDITED? WHAT DO I WALK AWAY WITH?

DO YOU HOST INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS?

DO I NEED MY OWN GEAR?

Students will be trained on industry-standard equipment and only need to bring a 1TB external hard drive to back up their footage. However, if you have a camera or a laptop, it will be beneficial for after-hours work, so we recommend bringing them along.

We do offer bursaries to qualifying South African residents. Email admin@readyaimfiremedia.com to find out more or complete the bursary section on your application form.

We manage a student house in collaboration with our partnering gap year program, "Altitude." Conveniently located within walking distance of the school, grocery stores, and coffee shops, it offers a prime location for students. If you require accommodation, please don't hesitate to inquire.

We are not accredited at this stage, as our primary focus is to equip students through practical, hands-on training. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate of participation and showreel projects to help them start building their portfolios.

WHAT SOFTWARE DO THE STUDENTS LEARN?

Throughout the year, each student will receive their own Adobe Creative Cloud license, which they can use on the school's computers during class or on their personal equipment at home. This license provides access to the full suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.

ARE MEALS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

Meals will be provided at events, however during the week students are responsible for their own living expenses.
There is a coffee shop at the church called Stir, as well as a grocery store within walking distance.

We would love to have international students join our training program.
We are able to help with:

  • Local advice on accommodation

  • Visa Letters

Students are liable for:

  • Visa's

  • Flights

  • Accommodation

  • Food/transport

At this stage, our primary focus is making the 11 month training program as impactful as possible and so we do not offer any extended courses.
However, we do offer an internship program where students will be able to stay on to serve and lead the next intake of students.
Application for this program will take place with the students during the course of their training.

One of our core values at Ready Aim Fire is biblical discipleship, and so we would encourage students from out of town to get plugged into Oxygen Life Church. However, if you are from Gqeberha and already belong to a local church, we would encourage you to stay linked in with them.

DO YOU OFFER ANY EXTENDED COURSES?

DO I NEED TO JOIN OXYGEN LIFE CHURCH IF I ATTEND READY AIM FIRE?

DO FEES COVER PROJECT COSTS?

WHERE IS READY AIM FIRE LOCATED?

Fees will cover software licenses, gear, and insurance. Any additional costs, such as location rentals, props, or wardrobe, will be the team's responsibility. These decisions should be made collectively, based on the team's personal resources.

We operate out of Oxygen Life's building, "The Base":
